Each character must purchase their own bag slot expansions. Free accounts start with 3 bag slots already unlocked and can unlock 11 more per character. Full accounts start with 5 bag slots already unlocked and can unlock 9 more per character. Each character can have up to 14 bag slots in total, including the bag slot holding the starter backpack.

Now if you constantly represent your personal guild, trying to earn 2 influence points per event to get that 50,000 influence points for the 2nd, 3rd guild bank unlock, then that is a problem.
