Both have adjustable driving dynamics ( the SI has 2 settings and the CTR has 3 ) and the shifter in the Type-R is tighter. If you get the 2019 model you will also get a physical volume knob on the dash radio. The CTR is a hatchback design so you get a large volume cargo area if you fold down the back seats.
