#1 ยท May 10, 2019 I need some help from the fountain of wisdom on this forum. The perfect seat height for me seems to be 33 inches or 840cm. The GS seat height is 33 inches, but I want the GSA. Do I buy a standard GSA (34 - 35 inches / 890 cm) and get a low seat option or a lowered GSA (31 inches / 810 cm) and get a High comfort seat.
Iโ€™m 6โ€™3โ€ 200lbs on R1250GS and went with the high rally seat because it fits closer to the tank. With lower TT pegs it gives me the leg room I need, but long rides do become a pain in the butt. Custom job on the list. Both the standard and BMW high comfort seats are garbage.
Fortunately, the good folks at Corbin Motorcycle Seats have been making a better option for over 40 years now, and such is certainly true with their offering for the R1200GS. Easy to slip on in place of your original seat, far more rugged and durable, and incredibly comfortable compared to the BMW original seat, here's the breakdown:
BMW offers the R 1200 GS for $16,495 and the GSA for $18,695, while the Multistrada rolls for $21,295 from my local dealer. 33.5 inches / 34.3 inches (adjustable seat height) 35.0 inches / 35.

That makes a big difference to me and has been the potential for a drop several times. Something to consider and I will have to address it soon. Sadly I took a slow speed low side fall 3 weeks ago, 4 broken ribs and can't ride for a bit. Adjusting the seat to the low setting will be my first attempt to deal with the bikes height, then go from u06U. 211 72 136 307 503 782 766 575
